Safira's litter of 11 is one week old. They have doubled their birthweight already. ( Haven't we all have gained a bit more than we wanted to the past week?)

       Chocolate male wearing the green collar is the darkest chocolate puppy in the litter
              Chocolate male wearing tan collar (bottom left and right) is the biggest,
                                                           weighing  1.08 KG today

                      I forgot to include Safira's 3 puppies that Luxe is caring for in these pictures.
                                     But oh well I'll remember for their 2 week old picture.

for those of you following my dog blog, we have done a little math at WINDARA and have decided to even up Safira and Luxes' workload

Safira has 12 pups and 8 teets.
Luxe has 5 pups and 10 teets.

...so we have transferred 2-3 chocolate puppies from Safira over to Luxe's care. We will monitor how that helps the situation. Luxe accepted them as her own right away!

LUXE had her little family- born Wednesday evening. Total of 5 ( 3 males 2 females )

        I just had to post this picture of the first puppy ( less than a minute old ) sucking his leg
                                            - crazy on sucking anything and everything!
                                              He is one big bruiser weighing 580 grams

Never seen the likes of one so strong.

Another exciting day at WINDARA. This is how our day went

Made it thru the night with no squishes! YAY SAFIRA   ( Safira is so tired )

        MIDAZZ wonders how is a person to get any sleep with all the puppy grunts and squeaks?

                           LUXE confesses REMI is the man responsible for scenario
                            - an ooops litter coming up soon by the looks of this belly

Puppies should be here on schedule....Safira in labour tonight. I'll post pictures as I have the time
