Safira x Remi litter. Day One. A dozen puppies.

When those pain meds kick in, Safira can sure saw logs!

                               Safira is resting nicely now that her pain situation is under control
                                                  Hidden picture. Can you find twelve?

Safira's puppies arrived today. (I forgot my charts, birth records and client waiting lists in the vet's office, so cannot remember particulars till I get those papers in the next day or two)

First puppy @ 1:13 AM... a Black Female

She is sleek black, very short haired

                                                         Then a Chocolate Female
                                                             And she is lively!

                               ...and one more Chocolate Female
                                  My fave so far-just beautiful!

                                                Here are the 3 girls so far- need boys!

                           

                            

                             Then we finally get a male- a Chocolate one too!
                              He's a few grams smaller than the girls so he better be tough!

                                                        ...and one more Chocolate Male

              Then puppy # 6 , a big black female created a problem ( she was coming backwards)
                                 Off to the vet we all go. And its going to be a C-Section
                                                 ( Puppy does not survive the stress)

7 puppies born by C-Section in less than 15 minutes!

                       Back home safe and sound with 12 puppies. Safira is still very sleepy.

                                      
                               Immediately Midazz claims them as her very own
                         Guess they can share them tonight, to reduce the risk of squishing puppies!
                                    MIDAZZ already bathed and fed all 'hers'
                            I'm not sure Midazz needs to help. Safira is a good milker
      (Could be MIDAZZ is missing her puppies that went to their new homes yesterday.)

                            There are:   2 black females
                                               1 black male
                                               4 chocolate females
                                               5 chocolate males

                                Looks like Safira is going to make it a nighttime occasion.

Hello to Safira's litter tomorrow (Monday August 29th)

   Safira, this morning, slowing down and resting lots

                     This is the final litter of her prolific career. (She is slated for retirement.)
                              She has had 5 litters of  6, 12, 12, 13, and 12 offspring.
                           Any guesses how many puppies this time? She is HUGE!
                                      I can palpate lots of wiggly puppies.

Quite a weekend coming up. Midazz' pups go home. Safira X Remi litter arrrives. Harvesting too.

                                Remi is looking good this morning- I think he lost his 5 extra pounds!

                                          ( Remi ) and Safira due to have pups this weekend August 29th

             Early next week I will be contacting everyone who called and was
          approved for a puppy from Safira and Remi's litter.

             By then I'll know numbers and colors and sex you inquired about.

             I will offer you a puppy in order of date you contacted WINDARA

             Do not send your deposit till I ask you for it.

I just love getting pictures of our puppies who are now grown up!

                 ....Another one of my favorite dogs from BC that I get pictures of regularly
                            (they even brought JAKE to Windara last summer for a visit!
                                            He's getting white whiskers-but please don't get old Jake!

7 weeks. They found sticks in the shelterbelt. Funny how they know what to do with sticks. They had a serious game of keep-away going on. ( I don't recommend playing with sticks as they are dangerous, but they had 5 minutes of fun)
